The general aim of the project Meaning-Making Models is to provide the YW with the skills necessary to support young people with disabilities and understand the needs related to their individual characteristics – values, expectations, volitions – in order to help them in searching for occupational roles and meaningful activities and to achieve a good self-fulfillment, through the use of non-formal education tools called MEANING-MAKING MODELS.
Within the project will be addressed, discussed and demonstrated different methods of meaning making, through the identification of vocational activities and significant occupational roles, stimulating decision-making processes for self-determination and problem-solving skills for adaptation, useful to strengthen the personal and professional development of young people with disabilities.
Three youth workers will be selected for each partner organization, and their profile can be summarized as follows:
– Managers, members, volunteers or collaborators in any way of the sending organization,
– Experience in the youth field and in work with young people with disabilities,
– Age > 18,
– Motivation and interest in the topic of the project,
– Be able to share and disseminate what they learned during the course in their organizations and communities.
Eligible to participate in this project are only Cypriots or Cypriot residents.
Food and accommodation are fully covered from the project and the traveling cost is covered up to 360€
