According to Eurofound, those with low levels of education are three times more likely to be NEET (young people who are not in education, employment or training) than those with third-level education. The risk is 70% higher for young
people from an immigration background than nationals while having a disability or health issue is also a strong risk factor. Youth unemployment is one of the biggest problems faced these years, as the labor market is constantly changing, thereby we aim to involve and ultimately to reach out to marginalized young people and migrants
The main goal of this mobility project is to empower the youth workers and partner organizations with tools and ideas in order to improve their approaches so that they work more efficiently in their communities with NEETs and with those that are at high risk of falling into this category. This tools-equipment will be built cooperatively through creative and participatory methods in the form of experiential workshops, highlighting the importance of nonformal education methods.
Therefore, the main objectives of our training course are centered on giving tools, sharing good practices and developing competencies and methodologies for addressing the NEETs situation, encouraging and giving instruments both to youth
workers and organizations for working with employability on different levels and branches such as developing effective ways to prevent, acquire tools to strengthen professional, entrepreneur and soft skills among youngsters.
