What is this project about
“Their homes are taken, their future not PT2” is a Training Course, funded by the Erasmus+Programme, organised by Horizons For Youth. The project will take place in Athens, Greece between 22-29.07.2021. Project’s topic will be Homelessness and social inclusion. The problem of homelessness is becoming an important phenomenon characterized by a variety of reasons and
are waiting for a solution widely used today. According to the UN report, there are 100 million homeless people in the world. The homelessnes which is a compound of many social problems is also one of the most significant indicators of the tragedy of the humanity in 21st century. This necessity puts forward the other necessity of youth workers working in this field. Youth workers and one sociologist will be chosen to the project from the partner organizations. The target here is to build professional teams that are able to contact homeless youngsters.
Profile of participants
A total of 23 participants will take part in the Training Course. Every national group will be consisted of a group of 3 people (the greek team will have 5 participants).
For your participation, the following will be needed :
-At least one year of experience with youth or social work.
-Prior experience in Erasmus+ projects.
-Fluency in English (additional languages will be appreciated).
-High interest in Homelessness and social inclusion.
-Willingness and capacity to contribute in project’s dissemination process.
-Seriosity and mindfulness.
- Eligible to participate in this project are only Cypriots and/or Cypriot residents.
- 3 Participants 18+
- Food and accommodation are fully covered by the project and the traveling cost up to 275 euro
