Project Summary

This is a project that was made in accordance with the current situation with the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus. It’s based on that the idea for this project started to develop and we started to think what would happen if any kind of crisis-hit us, not only pandemic (e. g. financial crisis, war, the migrant crisis, terrorism, natural disasters, etc.). The questions started to appear if we were ready to face those, did we ever think about having to work during a crisis, do we have a plan to deal with these situations, or do we find one along the way, once we are made to do so? How to keep going, how to keep working, and how to keep supporting young people and providing activities for them during difficult times?

MAIN OBJECTIVE

The main objective is to empower youth workers with knowledge, skills, methods, models and tools that they will use during crisis situations in and outside of their organizations that are affecting their work. They will use them to react and solve the problem quickly and painlessly as possible and continue their work or, even better, gain more success by doing so. We’ll put great emphasis on sharing the results, ie training youth workers to continue educating various stakeholders in their local communities in order to raise their level of readiness to respond to crisis situations on a higher level.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Development of our own crisis plan for resolving crisis situations within youth organizations
Developed and strengthened problem-solving skills as well as creative and critical thinking
Developed and strengthened planning, management, and organization skills
Developed efficiency in teamwork
Acquiring new tools for adapting youth work in difficult conditions (remote work)
