1.Promoting peace building by introducing past successful non-violent actions, that made a real impact
2.Giving skills and tools for transforming conflicts in both personal and professional life.
3.Making participants aware of their role in civic society and promote activism and responsibility
4.Build on participant’s current competencies in non-formal education and peace building
5.Make participants able to spread the ideas and knowledge on non-violent actions to young people Europe-wide. During the training participants will realise how important
is their role in the process of construction of Europe, especially during this transformation period is very important an active participation and how this can be multiplied in their local community.



The overall aim of the proposed training is to create a deeper understanding of the civil society actors and the role we have in our nations and be able to approach it with non-violent communication techniques. We will start with exploring the meaning of the words conflict, youth movement, peace etc. and at the same time we will follow social movements for democracy and justice, movements against discrimination and racism and we will explore present developments in different regions, movements born during the economic crisis and other important actors around the world and especially Europe.


Location: Orfű, Hungary
The participants will be accommodated in shared rooms.
Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as two coffee breaks per day, will be provided by the organizers.
All the instructions on how to arrive at the venue will be sent by email.

  • Eligible to participate in this project are only Cypriots and/or Cypriot residents.
